A fundamental assumption of LarKC is that in order to scale to the size of the current and future Web, a distributed Semantic Web reasoning infrastructure has to go beyond current reasoning paradigms which are strictly based on logic.
This report collects pointers to many different areas where relevant techniques can be found that can contribute to LarKC’s architecture and its plugins. These range as widely as Approximation Theory, Quantum Logics, Meta-Reasoning, Cognitive Architectures, Similarity Theories, Brain Science and Neuroscience, Economics and Bounded Rationality, Distributed and Parallel Computing, and Software Engineering.
FOCUS GROUP: Researchers in Semantic Web reasoning with a broad enough mind to look beyond their own field!
